One year after the start of the vaccination against Covid19, over 84% of the target population has been fully vaccinated. The Brazilian government has successfully distributed more than 408.000.000 doses in all of Brazil, 339.000.000 million of which already administered.

Over 162.000.000 million people have received at least one dose, and more than 147.000.000 are fully immunized. Furthermore, 36.500.000 million people have also received a booster dose. Brazil ranks 4th in the number of vaccinated, after populous countries China, India and the US.

By February, 100% vaccine application will be feasible. After the transfer of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) technology, Brazil may become self-sufficient and even a vaccine exporter, further establishing its position as a world reference in vaccination.

The Brazilian government tackled unique challenges to provide full immunization for more than 85% of its adult indigenous population, which occupies 13% of Brazil’s sovereign territory, comprising 1,173,776km², an area larger than Germany, France and the United Kingdom combined.
