“Auxílio-Brasil” is a comprehensive aid program of the Brazilian government that integrates related public policies - social assistance, health, education, employment, and income - always aimed at vulnerable families.
In March, around 18 million families benefited from the monthly cash transfer provided by “Auxílio-Brasil”. Between December 2021 and January 2022, more than 3 million new recipients entitled to be a part of the program were added in the system, fully clearing the program's queue.
This process resulted in the Brazilian government's payments to the affected families reaching the value of R$ 7.4 billion, setting an outstanding outcome for all who have been aided by this program.
